WSAPC Crawley proudly piloted enterprise lessons this term. The aim was for each of the groups to come up with a team name, design a product, think about how the product would be made, materials needed, how they would spend their budget, produce posters and finally make their Christmas decorations to be sold at a mini Christmas fayre.
The event saw staff and ten committed pupils stay back after school to set up and host neighbours from the local community. It was really well attended and all those who visited commented positively.
This was an opportunity for the pupils to demonstrate how respectful, helpful and well behaved they can be. They did the school proud. One pupil said he didn’t originally want to help, but that, on reflection, he had really enjoyed the event and thought it was a real success.
The staff and pupils raised just shy of £400, with a proportion being donated to St Catherine’s Hospice and the rest to fund a special reward trip.
A huge well done Crawley and thank you to those who gave support by attending. Thank you to Mandy Gamon who co-ordinated the lessons and event so successfully.
