Tuesday 11th February is Safer Internet Day. As a school, we will be running lessons with the students throughout the week, looking at the Safer Internet Day themes of #TogetherForABetterInternet and this year’s focus of #FreeToBeMe.

Last year, there was only 20% of all parents and carers in the UK who were actively involved with the scheme. It would be great to see that parents from WSAPC are joining in this year!

Please find  some time this week to discuss with your child about Safer Internet Day. There are a bunch of really useful resources you can use, which are available from the Safer Internet Centre: https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/safer-internet-day-2020/i-am-parent-or-carer

Further resources are available from West Sussex at the following links:

You can also book yourself onto one of the West Sussex ‘Staying Safe Online’ events from this link: https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/fire-emergencies-and-crime/crime-prevention/staying-safe-online/#events-and-training

In today’s digital world it is really important to know how to keep yourself and your family safe online. Please take the time to have a look at the resources or book onto one of West Sussex’s events!
